10:00 AM – Arrival at Krušedol Monastery and tour of the monastic complex.
Krušedol Monastery is the endowment of the Branković family – the last Serbian despots of Srem – founded in the early 16th century. It once served as the seat of the Belgrade-Srem Metropolitanate. The exceptionally valuable icons on the iconostasis are among the most significant preserved works of 16th-century Serbian church art. In addition to patriarchs and church dignitaries, King Milan Obrenović and Princess Ljubica are also buried in the church.
11:00 AM – Departure for Sremski Karlovci and walking tour of the town center, the best-preserved Baroque urban ensemble in Serbia:
- Stefaneum – A neoclassical building from the early 20th century, today housing the Institute for the Serbian People and Diaspora.
